This is for freshman (The newly admitted students
to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka).You are free to ask any question
and you will be cleared wherever necessary. Clearance will start immediately the University resume. The resumption date will be published on the school website: www.unn.edu.ng, there you will see the Time Table of Event (Academic Calendar for that session), the School Fees for different faculties and the Hostel Fees. Student
may decide to pay for accommodation (hostel) or stay off campus (private
accommodation) as the case may be.
After acceptance, the next process is Clearance. During Clearance, your credentials will be screened and only those with Complete and Valid credentials will scale through. At the end of the Clearance process, you will be issued a Matriculation Number, you will know by checking you’re your portal.

In order to be eligible for Clearance you must have paid
your Consolidated School Fees. To pay, you
need to Log In to the school portal:
www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng, to Create or Print
a Payment Invoice and proceed to any
designated bank.

How to Get the Clearance Documents
You can start getting all this documents ready for submission. So that as soon as school resumes it will not be extra load to you, to avoid going back to your home town to get them while lectures will going on. The above arrangement is from the Faculty of Physical Sciences. Check your faculty to see if they required additional documents and take note of the arrangement. The clearance be at Convocation Arena popularly known as Ekpo Reff.
1. Admission Slip/Letter: visit UNN portal: www.unnportal.com, and log in by providing your registration/matriculation number and enter UNN as the password to print your admission slip.
2. Profile Update/Personal Data Form: The form is also available in your portal, follow the same procedure as above.
3. SSCE result(s), O'Level OR A'Level: Your SSCE result(s): either or both of the following combinations are accepted: WAEC {(MAY/JUNE (Public) & or NOV/DEC (Private/)}, NECO (MAY/JUNE & or NOV/DEC), NABTEB. Note: NOTE that GCE is generally known as NOV/DEC or Private.
4. Certificate of birth/Birth certificate: UNN/your faculty may not accept declaration of age from court. Birth certificate can be gotten from your parent, your hospital of birth, or other hospitals, National Population Commission, from your church (Baptism Card) etc.
5. Local Government Identification: visit your local government and request for identification letter.
6. Jamb Result: If you have lost your result go and reprint it may be by purchasing another jamb (result) scratch card or there about. And visit jamb website: www.jamb.org.ng.
7. POST-UME/Screening Result: Reprint or purchase UNN POSTUME scratch card checker and visit UNN portal: www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng. And provide the requested/necessary information.
8. Attestation Letter: This can be gotten from your Parent, Guardian, Spiritual Director (Rev. Fr., Pastor, Imam, and King).
9. Acceptance Payment Receipt: This is the receipt you receive from bank when you paid your acceptance fee that cost Twenty Five Thousand Naira (
11. Transcript: This gotten from your previous school. So make a request to the registrar of your school.
That that will be gotten online are available in the business centre around the University premises.
As may be required by a particular faculty, you will be asked to make the photocopy of the documents; 3 copy each; which may go into the folders that will be given to you after receiving your matriculation number.
NOTE: Make
sure that the information/documents you provide are accurate and genuine. If at
any time irrespective of your level of study at the time being, UNN discover that
your information are not genuine, it may lead to a penalty such as withdrawal
of the candidate from the university, especially if the case concerned is entry requirements. check yours here.
